GREEN BAY (Press Release) - A steady downpour first washed out batting practice at Joannes Stadium Wednesday night, and finally forced the postponement of the scheduled 7:05 game between the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters and the Green Bay Bullfrogs. The game will be made up as part of a double header when the Rafters return to Green Bay on July 22nd.
Both games of the July double-header will be seven inning contests, a start time for the game has yet to be announced. Last year the Rafters went 2-8 in double header games. Those ten games included splitting a double header in Green Bay early in the year, then dropping both games of a twin bill to the Frogs in early August. Righty Michael Huckabay was scheduled to make his second start of the season as the Rafters tried to force a split of the short two game series.
The Rafters return home for one game Thursday, taking on the Wisconsin Woodchucks at 7:05.
