PET PAUSE (WAOW) -- So you're going to have a baby. What about your pet or pets at home?
Q. What are some tips to prepare your pet for new baby?
A. One of the basic things one can do is once baby is born wrap baby in a small blanket to get it's scent on it. Have mom's scent on blankie also. Have dad bring the blanket home to your pets so they could have a sniff of baby and mom together.
Q. What if mom is really close to the pet?
A. Mom needs to keep up the good relationship with the pet.
No matter how wonderful your pet is never leave baby or little children alone with your pet. This is where baby monitors really come in handy. If you always want to keep baby's room open put in a wood screen door.
