Accident injures 3 in Lincoln County


LINCOLN COUNTY (WAOW) -- Three people were injured Thursday afternoon in a car accident in Lincoln County.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, a vehicle driven by Zachary A. Mosentine, 26, of Barron, WI, was traveling south on US Highway 51 north of US Highway 8 when his vehicle left the roadway. The accident happened around 1:55 p.m. Police say they believe Mosentine experienced a medical emergency which caused the crash.

Mosentine and his two passengers, Jeremy W. Monday, 29, of Rice Lake, and Mandy K. Black, 29, of Woodruff, were injured. They were taken to Ministry Sacred Heart Hospital. Mosentine and Black were treated and later released.

Monday was later flown to the trauma center at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. He is in serious condition.
