Marshfield business may not renew liquor license after falling behind on taxes
MARSHFIELD (WAOW) -- A Marshfield business may not be able to sell alcohol after falling behind on property taxes.
We followed up on a report by the Marshfield News Herald, saying Clearwaters Hotel and Convention Center owners owe more than $90,000 in property taxes from last year. According to Marshfield city ordinances, businesses cannot renew their liquor license if they're behind on paying any sort of taxes. Marshfield city workers say they may be able to work out a payment plan with Clearwaters so they can keep their license. They could decide next week.
