WAUSAU (WAOW)-- The Farmer's Market in Wausau has announced that it will now accept FoodShare cards.
Farmer's Market volunteers and Marathon County Health Officials have been working for the past six months to launch the service.
Starting Saturday, anyone with FoodShare can use their account to buy tokens at the Farmer's Market Community tent.
Those tokens will be accepted at any vendor for any item.
The market is open Wednesdays and Saturdays through October.
One year after a deadly shooting rampage in Marathon County, the community and businesses honored the four lives lost in different ways.
