Paul P. Pochinski, 74, 5887 State Road 153, Hatley, died Thursday, June 30, 2011, at his home.
He was born June 29, 1937, in the town of Sharon, the son of the late Stanley and Anna (Ostrowski) Pochinski. He married Julia Rozewicz on June 5, 1965, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. She survives.
He was employed at Marathon Battery Shop in Wausau for 15 years, then at Mosinee Paper Corporation for 28 years, retiring in 1999. He was a member of St. Ladislaus Men's Society and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He also enjoyed trapping in his younger years.
Survivors, besides his wife, Julia, include three sons, John Pochinski, Wausau, Michael Pochinski, Bevent, and Steve Pochinski, Sacramento, Calif.; two daughters, Clara Pochinski, Wausau, and Sara (Bradley) High, Rib Mountain; three grandchildren, Brianna, Jasmine and Madelyn High; three brothers, Clarence Pochinski, Hatley, Wallace Pochinski, Bevent, and Edwin (Caroline) Pochinski, town of Reid; and three sisters, Caroline (August) Wanta, Bevent, Gladys Hanold, Cudahy, and Winnefred (Steve) Vazzana, Chicago, Ill. He was preceded in death by a brother, Anton Pochinski.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, Bevent. The Rev. Augustine Bentil will officiate. Burial will be in St. Ladislaus Cemetery, Bevent. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, Bevent, where at 7 p.m. there will be a rosary. Visitation will be again from 9 a.m. Wednesday until time of services at the church. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is in charge of arrangements.
