Braun Misses 4th Straight Game With Sore Calf

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The Brewer's Ryan Braun has missed his fourth consecutive game to have an MRI on his sore left calf, although Milwaukee manager Ron Roenicke doesn't think the NL All-Star has a serious injury.

Braun went to be examined by team physician Dr. William Raasch, walking out of Miller Park about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Roenicke said the soreness increased after Braun worked out Tuesday in an effort to play.

Roenicke said trainer Roger Caplinger doesn't think the injury is serious.

Braun has a 22-game hitting streak and is batting .320 with 16 home runs, 62 RBI and 19 stolen bases in 83 games.

The Brewers went into Wednesday's game against Arizona having lost seven of eight. They trail the St. Louis Cardinals by two games in the NL Central.
