Suspect in SD homicide planned to kill president

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- The man arrested in Madison after allegedly killing a 75-year-old woman in her Sioux Falls, S.D., home is telling a television station he planned to travel to Washington, D.C., to kill President Barack Obama.

James McVay tells WKOW-TV he planned to kill the president while he was golfing.  McVay cited Obama's economic policies, but also says the president is controlled by aliens.

Authorities say that hours before McVay's interview Wednesday with WKOW at the Dane County jail, a Secret Service agent interrogated McVay.

McVay faces first-degree murder and burglary charges in South Dakota for allegedly entering the home of Maybelle Schein, killing her and then fleeing in her vehicle.  Police located McVay near Madison on Saturday.  South Dakota authorities are requesting McVay's extradition.  McVay says he won't oppose it.
