US Jobs Report

(CNN)--The U-S job market is growing in slow motion.

That's what new government numbers released Friday show.

The economy gained just 18-thousand jobs in June, making it the weakest month since September.

That's even worse than May, when a paltry 25-thousand jobs were added.

The U-S economy needs a monthly gain of about 150-thousand jobs just to keep up with population growth.

Adding to the misery, the government also revised unemployment numbers for April and May.

The unemployment rate rose a tenth-of-a-percent from April to 9-point-2-percent in May.
