WAUSAU (WAOW) -- Governor Scott Walker signed the concealed carry bill into law Friday, making Wisconsin the 49th state to allow citizens the right to carry. But reactions to the new law have some residents on the fence.
Some feel they deserve the right to carry a concealed weapon and others. They say Wisconsin should be focusing on other issues.
Opposing resident says, "We have it so we'll have to accept it and how we're going to deal with it. I do think it's too bad that legislatures are spending energy on issues like that."
"Well I feel if it's been working for 48 other states it should be fine for Wisconsin,"says another Wausau resident.
