Rolyn L. Vaughan, of Stevens Point, died early Saturday morning July 9, 2011 at his home with his loving wife and children at his side. Age 73 Rolyn was born January 19 1938 in Stevens Point. He was the son of the late Rolyn and Agnes (Kostuch) Vaughan. He attended local schools. Rolyn married Patricia Kulich on June 6, 1959 at St. Peters Catholic Church. After their marriage the couple settled in Stevens Point. His wife Patricia survives. Rolyn worked for Consolidated papers for over thirty five years, retiring in 2001. He also owned and operated Vaughan's Vacu Maid for many years. His free time was spent doing wood carving and fishing. He enjoyed volleyball and traveling, loved the Green Bay Packers and investing in the stock market. His most precious time was for his family as he was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife Patricia, his six children Barbara Vaughan of Illinois, Michelle "Shelly" (Jim) Janowski, Christy (Jeff) Thompson both of Stevens Point, Jody (Bryan) Walters of Plover, Mark (Mary) Vaughan of Iola and Molly (Dan) Johnson of Stevens Point. Further survived by his grandchildren, Joel (Malissa) Yach, Brady and Kelly Kluck, Hattie, Adam and Gage Thompson, Roman and Aly Walters, Jesse, Stephie, Casey and Annie Vaughan, Madeline and Elliot Eron, and Emma Johnson. Four Step grandchildren Danielle, Nick, Brandon and Travis Johnson. Three Great Grandchildren Avin Yach, Ashlynn and Kyla O'Neil. Two sisters Bonnie (Steve) Osswald and Betty Antell both of Wausau, and one brother Raymond "Butch" (Bonnie) Vaughan of Mauston, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step father LaVerne Weiss and two Brothers Fred and Frank Vaughan.
The family would like to thank Ministry Hospice for their special care and kindness given to Rolyn, especially Tracy and Bambi. Also Dick Rozulmalski for his spiritual visits and for him serving during the mass.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 A.M Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at St. Peters Catholic Church. Rev. Arul Joseph V. officiating. Burial will be in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 9:30 A.M. Tuesday morning at the St. Faustina room of St. Peters Church until the time for mass. There will be a Parish Rosary at 10:00 A.M. prior to mass.
