Shilling reacts to primary win

LA CROSSE (WXOW)-- Assemblywoman Jennifer Shilling says primary elections were a waste of La Crosse County taxpayers' money and also was a setback in her campaigning for the 32nd Senate General Election.

Shilling said she will now focus on getting our and shaking hands, going door to door, and talking with the people of the 32nd about moving forward.

The Democrat said each day she feels about 100 votes behind, yet the goal of her campaign is to get out and find 120 votes each day.

Shilling said voters are worried about the direction that our state is going and are looking for a Senator that is willing to listen.

Shilling will face current 32nd Republican Senator Dan Kapanke in the August 9th, 2011 General Election.
