Stephanie Low's mom speaks out about boyfriend's drug conviction

WAUSAU (WAOW) -- The mother of missing Wausau woman, Stephanie Low, does not want her boyfriend's recent drug conviction to overshadow the fact that she hasn't been found.

Low disappeared last November.

Her boyfriend, Eric Maholmes was arrested after investigators found 28 grams of cocaine in the apartment they shared during a search for clues.

He pleaded guilty to a charge of possession with intent to deliver and was sentenced earlier this week to six and a half years behind bars.

Blake says, "She is still out there.  She is still missing and I want the community to realize that and not have her attention on all this negativity.  We need to find my daughter.  What Eric got or what he didn't get is irrelevant in our lives."

Blake says Low and Maholmes were dating about five months before she disappeared.  She does not believe he had anything to do with it.

The investigation continues.
