Website will detail all state expenses over $100

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- A new website will provide details of all state spending over $100.

The website is part of the recently enacted 2011-2013 state budget. It will allow citizens, private companies and the media search for information on how much a state agency spent and who received the money.

Republican Rep. Robin Vos of Rochester sponsored the disclosure and tells the Journal Sentinel ( ) the legislation is similar to a provision offered by President Barack Obama when he was a U.S. senator.

Administration Secretary Mike Huebsch (HIBSH) says there's no firm deadline for the information to be loaded to the website, but they are working "diligently" to provide spending details.
