Roxanne Jean Kurszewski age 39, of Custer, WI passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011 after a courageous 6 month battle with cancer. She was born May 5, 1972 in Stevens Point, WI to Robert and Lucy (Jakubek) Slowinski. She graduated from SPASH in 1990. Her marriage to Dennis Kurszewski took place on May 7, 1994. They have a daughter, Rheanne, born on March 17, 2002. She owned and operated D&R Plumbing along with her husband Dennis. Roxanne enjoyed spending time with family, loved hunting and fishing with her husband and daughter. She liked to visit the farm she grew up on. Other things she enjoyed include cooking, baking (Especially pies), sewing quilts for family as gifts, gardening and canning. Roxanne always reached out to help anyone in need.

Survivors include; her husband Dennis, and daughter Rheanne. Parents, Robert and Lucy Slowinski of the Town of Carson, Maternal Grandmother; Genevieve Jakubek , Two Brothers; Jesse & Scott Slowinski both of the Town of Carson, one Sister; Kelly (Troy) Kerchefski of Stevens Point. Mother in law; Clara Kurszewski of Rosholt, Four Brother in Laws: Andy (Debbie), Bob (Roxanne), Joe (Wanda) and Rich (Koren) Kurszewski. Three Sister in laws; Nancy (Harold) Dombeck, Arlene (Tom) Prondzinski & Pat (John) Raykowski.

She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, step nieces & step nephews.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents; Leo & Agnes Slowinski, Maternal grandfather; Stanley Jakubek, Father in law Elias Kurszewski, Brother in law; Maynard Kurszewski and nephew Ryan Wanta.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Monday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Mill Creek. Rev. Andrzej Panek Officiating. Burial will take place in the Parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 8:00 PM on Sunday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point and from 9:30 AM Monday until the time of services Monday morning at the Church.
