Stevens Point residents asked to conserve water

STEVENS POINT (PRESS RELEASE)--During the general emergency declared for Stevens Point due to last night's storm, citizens have been asked to conserve water usage until further notice.

The city water supply remains potable and drinkable, but conservation will assist officials with restoring full capacity to the City water system. Those needing drinking water can obtain drinking water from the Village of Plover Municipal Center on the North side of the building.

Citizens from the Village of Park Ridge can obtain potable drinking water from the Park Ridge Village Center from a water tank. People should bring containers to transport the water.

Point of Contact is County Public Information Center 715-346-1909.
