UWSP's Semling Named a Top 25 Coach

STEVENS POINT (Press Release) – University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point head men's basketball coach Bob Semling has been named as one of the nation's top 25 non-Division I coaches according to collegeinsider.com's Jason Belzer.

Semling has a 145-33 record in six seasons at Stevens Point. He led the team to a national title in 2010 and has won three Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) regular-season titles and four tournament titles. He was also named the 2010 NABC and D3hoops.com Coach of the Year.

UWSP has been in the top 10 of the D3hoops.com poll 36 straight times and has an active top 25 appearance streak of 75. Under Semling's direction, the Pointers have appeared in the NCAA Tournament the past five seasons and boast an 11-3 postseason record.

Joining Semling on the Division III list is Mark Edwards (Washington University, St. Louis), Chris Harney (St. Mary's, Maryland), David Hixon (Amherst), Bob Walsh (Rhode Island College), and Mike Maker (Williams).
