LANGLADE COUNTY (WAOW) -- Prosecutors have dropped charges against the last known person to see a missing Antigo teen alive.
Court records show a judge in Langlade County ruled that charges should be dropped against Kevin Kielcheski. Police say the 26-year old Deerbrook man was the last known person to see Kayla Berg of Antigo alive.
Kielcheski told police that he dropped the 15-year old Berg off at a Wausau home in August 2009. She hasn't been seen since then.
Prosecutors charged Kielcheski with second degree recklessly endangering safety. But on July 22, the judge ruled there isn't enough evidence to support that charge. However, prosecutors could re-file lesser charges.
The Langlade County district attorney is out of the office, so it remains unclear if that will happen.
