EAA draws visitors from across the globe

OSKHOSK (WAOW) -- Hundreds of thousands of people head to Oshkosh every year for EAA Airventure and many of them come from out of the country.

In 2009, more than 2,100 visitors registered from 75 nations.  The top three nations; Canada, South Africa and Australia.

Laurie Webb made the trek from Brisbane, Australia.  As an aviation enthusiast, he says he's always wanted to come.

"It's just mind boggling, Webb says.  I haven't had the chance to take it all in yet.  I'm slowly working my way around. I guess I've only seen a small fraction of it, so far but it's going to be a great week."

Webb has his private pilot's license.  He flies small planes and gliders.
