MONROE COUNTY (WAOW) -- Wisconsin Emergency Management officials say another death has been attributed to last month's heat wave.
A 65-year-old Sparta woman's death has been confirmed as heat-related, according to the Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office. The woman, who died July 23, did not have air conditioning in her home. Officials say she also had an underlying health condition.
This death is the fifth heat-related death during last month's heat wave, which occurred from July 15-24.
