PLOVER (WAOW) -- The Wisconsin Rural Water Association hosted its 10th annual Outdoor Expo Thursday morning in Plover.
More than 500 water and wastewater industry workers met with vendors. The event serves as an opportunity to stay up to date with technology in the industry.
In addition, association leaders broke ground on a new $1.2 million training facility. Executive Director Ken Blomberg says they are looking to the future with this new building.
"With the baby boom generation retiring and the new wave of operators coming to our door, we needed a new facility to help train these individuals to operate water and wastewater systems in their home communities," Blomberg says.
