Marlene R. Lemmens

Marlene R. Lemmens, age 61, died on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Marlene was born October 31, 1949 in Green Bay to the late Bernard and Genevieve (Scray) Stein. She married Wayne H. Lemmens on October 29, 1971 in DePere.

Marlene loved her dogs, KC and Shady. She enjoyed betting on the Packer/Vikings games with son-in-law Jason, and rubbing it in as the Packers "ruled" most of the time. She looked forward to driving the golf cart on her road trips with Wayne, and cheerleading for her family's bowling team. She especially loved her kids and grand kids and looked forward to babysitting for Eliahs, as often as possible.

Marlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and a selfless friend and relative to many. She will be in our hearts forever and has joined those that passed; family, friends and furry creatures.

Survivors include her husband, Wayne H. Lemmens; two daughters, Niki (Jeff) Rosenow, Weston; Tracy (Jason) Bible, Hager City, WI; a son, Chad (fiance' Kerrie) Lemmens, Rothschild; four brothers, Howard (Rosie) Stein, Green Bay; Ronald (Mary) Stein, DePere; Roger (Kathy) Stein, and Roy Stein, both of Denmark, WI; mother-in-law Dorothy Lemmens, Green Bay; three sisters-in-law, Nancy (Brian) Kane, Green Bay; Bonnie (Bob) Sabo, Green Bay and Lori (Randy) Laabs, Freedom, WI; a brother-in-law, Dave (Tammy) Lemmens, Shiocton; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Jerome Stein and his wife, Judy; a niece, Heather Stein; and father-in-law Harold Lemmens.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Brainard Funeral Home – Everest Chapel, 5712 Memorial Court, Weston. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 24, 2011, from 4:00 to 7:00 and again on Thursday, from 9:30 to time of services, all at the funeral home. Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Kronenwetter.

The family would like to thank Dr. Rezazadeh and staff at the Aspirus Regional Cancer Center.
