MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Madison police have arrested a man accused of causing severe head injuries to his girlfriend's 4-year-old son.
Police say they arrested the 25-year-old Madison man Tuesday night after he admitted pushing the boy two days earlier.
Officers say the child's mother wasn't home at the time her son was injured.
Investigators say the man originally told them the boy fell off his bicycle and hit his head on the cement. They say the man eventually admitted shoving the boy.
A WISC-TV report (http://bit.ly/oHo7VU ) says the boy was listed in critical condition Wednesday.
