MOSINEE (WAOW) -- Veterans on the Never Forgotten Honor Flight have returned from Washington, D.C.

The group spent the day Monday in the nation's capital as part of a whirlwind trip to see the memorials in their honor.

The flight took 162 veterans and volunteer guardians free of cost. It left at 7:00 a.m.  and returned just before 10:00 p.m.  A welcome home ceremony for the veterans was held at CWA.

The flight was made possible through donations. Another flight is scheduled for October.
