Rep. Duffy to host job fair in Wausau area

Posted:

WASHINGTON, DC (WAOW) -- U.S. Congressman Sean Duffy (WI-07)  announced that his office is hosting a Job Fair on October 19th in the Wausau area to help connect job-seekers of the seventh district with local employers looking to hire.

The job fair starts at 9:00 AM at the Rothschild Pavilion.

"We talk a lot in Congress about promoting a job-creating environment. Well, this is one practical application of those ideas. What better way to get our folks working again than to put employers and job-seekers together in one place at one time," said Duffy.  "I truly hope this Job Fair will serve as a great resource to those who are looking for work right now."

Held in conjunction with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, Congressman Duffy's office said it expects more than 50 local companies of all types to participate in next month's job fair.

Additionally, attendees are encouraged to register ahead of time online so that a job-seeker packet could be prepared in advance.  We've posted a link to the registration form to this story.  Registration on-site will also be available and no one will be turned away.

Registration for the event is free for both employers and job-seekers.

The deadline for employer registrations is October 14th.  We've also posted a link for employer registration on this page.

Breakout sessions on resume writing and other relevant topics will be offered for free throughout the day as well.
