PORTAGE COUNTY (WAOW)--Investigators in Portage County have their hands busy looking into a series of robberies in the Stevens Point Area.
On September 4, 2011 a man robbed the West Side Mobil at 232 West Clark Street in Stevens Point. He displayed a knife and demanded cash. He fled on foot from the scene with an undetermined amount of cash.
Four days later on September 8th a man attempted to rob Emmy J's on First Street around 10:15 p.m. However, he ran away before he was able to take any cash. A half an hour later a man displayed a knife and demanded cash at the Southside BP on Church Street. The suspect ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Authorities believe the same person is responsible for all three robberies.
He is described as mid to late 20s, white/male, 5'05" to 5'9" with a dark colored mustache or goatee. He wore a light colored hoodie in all three robberies.
