(PRESS RELEASE - LINCOLN COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT) - On Wednesday at 9:39 AM October 199th, 2011 the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office received a report of a disturbance at a home on Peaceful Valley Rd in the Town of Bradley west of the City of Tomahawk. It was reported that a forty one year old male was possibly holding an eighteen year old female against her will.

As patrol units from the Sheriff's Office with the assistance of the Tomahawk Police Department responded to the area an attempt was made to contact the residence. The male refused to cooperate with law enforcement. The Lincoln and Oneida County Special Response Teams were then notified of the call and deployed to the area.

Shortly after 1:00 PM a crisis negotiator was able to make contact with both the male and female resident of the home. The female came out of the home, and a short time later the male surrendered to SRT members outside of the home. The female was checked by Tomahawk EMS but was not harmed during the event.

The male suspect has been brought to the Lincoln County Jail. At this time Deputies are continuing to gather statements and will be making a charging decision later this afternoon.
