(WAOW)--According to the Consumer Price Index, inflation jumped 3.9 percent in September. That's compared to the same month in 2010.
According to analysts, that is the biggest hike in three years. Experts say higher food and energy prices are largely to blame.
The rise in inflation means a 3.6 percent increase for social security recipients in 2012.
Cool through Tuesday with wind and periods of rain, then a warming trend.
