Lorraine P. Warpehoski, 85, Ringle, died Wednesday, October 19, 2011 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services at Aspirus Wausau Hospital surrounded by her family. Lorraine passed away from complications of a massive stroke. She was born December 7, 1925 in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Clarence and Anna Kowalski. On April 27, 1946, she was united in marriage to Andrew Warpehoski in the Township of Reid. He preceded her in death on December 2, 2003. Lorraine worked at Marathon Battery and the former Marathon Luggage. She also farmed with her husband in the Town of Ringle for many years. Lorraine was a member of St. Florian's Catholic Church, Hatley and enjoyed singing, crocheting and board games. She loved her cats and also enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino. Lorraine especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include three daughters, June Lucht, Wausau, Martha (Mike Greiner) Warpehoski, Portage, MI and Kathy (Mark) Schlund, Aniwa; five grandchildren, Felecia Lucht, Detroit, Bob (Jessica) Warpehoski, Los Angeles, Raj (Aryn) Warpehoski, Grand Rapids, MI, Scott (Monica) Schlund, Aniwa and Tim (fiance Raquel VanVerun) Schlund, Aniwa, one great grandson, Tristan Schlund, one brother, Elmer (Betty) Kowalski, Milwaukee and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Eleanor Gosciej and one son-in-law, Marvin Lucht.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10AM on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at St. Florian's Catholic Church, Hatley. Interment will be in the Parish cemetery. Vistiation will be on Friday from 6PM to 8PM and again on Saturday from 9AM until the time of service all at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to the Sandy Costarella Memorial Fund at the Wittenberg Veterinarian Clinic in Lorraine's memory.
