MADISON (ABC NEWS)-- There's been no formal announcement but state senators and other officials are saying concealed weapons will be allowed inside the State Capitol.
National officials said eight other states allow concealed weapons inside their State Capitol buildings.
And party lines are blurring in Wisconsin as final details about the policy for the Capitol are being hammered out.
Sources are saying republican assembly leaders are intending to allow concealed weapons in their chamber, and gallery.
The Associated Press reports, the senate might bar weapons from the Spectator Gallery and a key senate committee will meet on this today.
Senators can still post their offices as off limits to concealed weapons.
The conceal carry law which will take effect next Tuesday bars carry into the Wisconsin State Supreme Court in the Capitol.
