Proposals that would make it more difficult to recall incumbent Republican state senators from office appear to be dead.
The Senate elections committee held a hearing Monday on the bills and originally scheduled a vote for Tuesday, but that was delayed until Wednesday.
But late Tuesday that vote was canceled.
The bills also do not appear on the agenda for the Senate to take up Wednesday, the last day it was scheduled to be in session this year.
One measure would put new Republican-friendly districts in effect for any recalls that occur before November of next year.
Another bill stalled in committee would require recall petition circulators to have their signature notarized on any papers they handle.
A body found in Adams County has been identified as Isaac Salinas, according to Sheriff Sam Wollin.
