Senators' Plan to Save Postal Service

A small bipartisan group of lawmakers unveiled their proposal to save the postal service.

It involves cutting Saturday service in two years, closing post offices, and buying out 100,000 workers.

The bill would allow the postal service to tape a nearly $7 billion overpayment to the federal employment retirement system.

Several House Republicans have opposed the plan, calling it a bailout.
