Bill could help bring Wausau soccer complex to reality
WAUSAU (WAOW) -- Legislation passed by the state senate and assembly this week could help the Holtz-Krause soccer complex become a reality.
Both branches passed a bill that would change the types of landfills that qualify for the Voluntary Party Liability Exemption. If the governor signs it into law, the state would take responsibility for contamination found on the property in the future, which would relieve who ever the new owners might be. Workers with representative Donna Seidel's office said they anticipate the governor putting his stamp of approval on the bill. Seidel said developing the site would be a positive addition to our community.
