WESTON (WAOW) -- Police and firefighters have barricaded off a Weston street after a truck crashed into a utility pole Monday morning.
According to Sgt. Terrence Peterson with Everest Metro Police, a man lost consciousness while he was driving on Ross Ave. at approximately 9:00 a.m.
Peterson says the man swerved on and off the road, knocking over some mailboxes, before his truck hit the pole. The man was conscious when he was transported to the hospital by ambulance. His condition is unknown at this time.
Peterson says Ross Ave, between Birch Street and Bayberry Street, will be closed for the next several hours.
Wisconsin Public Service crews are on the scene to replace the pole and deal with a low-hanging live wire.
