Former Packer Butler closes car dealership


WAUPACA, Wis. (AP) -- Former Green Bay Packer LeRoy Butler has closed his Ford dealership in Waupaca.

Butler says the economy played a factor and the area has a seasonal population that is gone most of the winter.

The Post-Crescent reports ( ) the state Department of Revenue also filed delinquent tax warrants against the business Friday. Butler said he planned to take reconcile that.

The dealership closed on Thursday and Butler says it was one of the saddest days of his life. He says the other saddest day of his life was when the team didn't win the Super Bowl against the Denver Broncos.

The dealership had 15 employees.
