Car hits school bus in Wausau

WAUSAU (WAOW)--A car hit a school bus carrying children in Wausau on Wednesday afternoon.

Police say no injuries occurred at the crash near the intersection of 28th Avenue and Madonna Drive.

Newsline 9 was there when the group of Pre-K students on board were transferred to a new bus to get home.

First Student Bus Location Manager Davin Miller says the crash should remind people to drive carefully when roads are slick.

"Especially when following school buses, we all know this time of day they're going to be stopping. Give them wide berth, because it takes a lot longer to stop in this kind of weather" Miller told Newsline 9.

Wausau police say no citations were issued.
