STATE COLLEGE, PA. (CNN) -- He has emerged as a key player in the scandal unfolding in State College, Pennsylvania.
Assistant coach Mike McQueary told a grand jury he witnessed former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky raping a boy in a locker room, back in 2002.
In an e-mail dated Tuesday November 8, and first obtained by NBC News, McQueary told former teammates it was wrong to assume he'd done nothing to stop the abuse he says he saw.
He wrote, "I did the right thing... you guys know me" and "the truth is not out there fully. I didn't just turn and run. I made sure it stopped... I had to make quick, tough decisions."
He added that he "did have discussions with police and with the official at the university in charge of police," about the incident.
Chance of a shower or T-storm Sunday, otherwise the weekend forecast is looking good.
