MADISON -- Seven local doctors are in trouble tonight, for writing sick notes.
A state medical board is reprimanding them for writing the notes for capitol protestors in February.
The board's reprimand is specifically for a lack of proper record-keeping.
The reprimand will go on the doctor's permanent records which are stored in a national databank.
Attorneys for the doctors say the reprimand is too harsh and a warning would have been more appropriate, but six of the board's ten members disagreed.
The board will also require the doctors to take four hours of continuing medical education and to pay for the costs associated with the proceedings.
Dry weather with increasing sunshine the next several days and slowly warming temperatures.
