Arline Beyer

Arline Beyer, 93 Wausau, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, November 15, 2011.

She was born on May 10, 1918 in Wausau to the late Robert and Alma (Miehlan) Kroening. Arline was married to the late Willard Rusch in 1940 and had 7 children. She was widowed in 1967. Arline married Gust Beyer on November 2, 1974. With Gust she enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, cooking, canning, playing cards, completing word puzzles, and being the matriarch of a large, loving family.

Her strength, wonderful sense of humor, and loving relationship with Gust was the backdrop for many memorable family gatherings.

Survivors include her husband, Gustave Beyer, Wausau, and five of her seven children, Ronald (Sherry) Rusch, Wausau, Roger Rusch, Wausau, Nancy (Dennis) Buedding, Wausau, Judy Rusch (Gary Hibbard) Wausau, Karen (Nick) Niehausen, Oconomowoc; 10 loving grandchildren; 21 joyful great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Verna Loesel, Merrill, Edna (Eugene) Laffin, Wausau; 2 sisters-in-law, Eileen Kroening, Joanne Kroening; son-in-law, Dan Dolan, New Hampshire; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Dolan; a son, Mark Rusch; four brothers, Clarence Kroening, Albert Kroening, Robert Kroening, Jr., Harvey Kroening; and one sister-in-law, Violet Kroening.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18, 2011 at St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church, 7505 N. 33rd St. Wausau. Rev. David Faulkner will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Wausau. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church of Friday.

Brainard Funeral Home, Wausau is assisting the family with arrangements.

The family would like to thank her nurse, Carla McDonald, the kind and loving CNA's, and other RN's at the Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peter's Church at 7505 N. 33rd St. and Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services, 333 Pine Ridge Blvd. Wausau.
