Car hits motorcycle, two sent to hospital

WAUSAU (WAOW) -- Two people were taken to the hospital after a car hit a motorcycle in Wausau Friday evening.

It happened around 7:00 p.m. on County Road K near exit 194 of Highway 51. Wausau police say Michael Pisca, 55, was driving a passenger car heading northbound on County Road K and began to turn left onto the onramp, hitting a motorcycle traveling southbound.

Two people were on the motorcycle. The driver, David Mackie, 58, of Mosinee, and his passenger, Rhonda Hoesly, 57, of Spencer, were taken to Aspirus Hospital. Both were wearing helmets. Police say their injuries are not life-threatening.

The driver of the passenger car was cited for failure to yield resulting in bodily harm.
