Plane blows tire during landing in Milwaukee

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- A plane blew a tire landing at Milwaukee's General Mitchell International Airport on Monday morning.

Mesaba Airlines Flight 2415 was coming from Detroit when a landing-gear tire beneath the right wing blew out. None of the 26 passengers or four crew members aboard the CRJ-900 jet were hurt and no one was evacuated from the plane. Mesaba spokesman Joe Williams says the passengers were taken to the terminal by bus.

It's unclear what caused the tire to blow out. Williams says there were no reports of debris on the runway. He says an investigation will be conducted.

The Mesaba flight was being operated on behalf of Delta Air Lines Inc.
