Doris M. Dietsche, age 87, of Stevens Point passed away Sunday evening November 20, 2011 at North Haven C.B.R.F. She was under the care of Ministry Home Hospice and surrounded by her family as she entered eternal life.
A mass of Christian burial for Doris will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday November 26, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Jerzy Rebacz will officiate. Burial will be in St. Stephen Parish Cemetery. Friends and family will gather to share memories from 4:00 - 8:00 PM Friday at the Shuda Funeral Chapel. A general rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Friday at the funeral chapel. Visitation will also take place on Saturday from 10:00 - 10:45 AM at St. Joseph Church.
Doris was born December 20, 1923 in Ladysmith, the daughter of Guy and Rosella (Burns) Charmley. After graduating from Ladysmith High School, Doris married Daniel A. Dietsche on April 17, 1947 in Dubuque, IA. The couple moved to Superior, then to Ladysmith for a time and then came to Stevens Point in the early 1950's first to Roger's street then to their Dixon street home where they resided for over 50 years. Doris has lived at North Haven the past four years. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, card games, wheel of fortune, baking, dancing, and big band music.
Doris is survived by her four children: Debbie Osiedacz, Stevens Point; Diane (Steve) Karner, Mosinee; David (Pat) Dietsche, Stevens Point; Donald (Diane) Dietsche, Plover; 13 grandchildren and 5 great grand children. One Sister Irma Jean (Eugene) Smirstick, Wausau. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Daniel, one grandson, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
