MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Governor Scott Walker does not appear in the second ad launched by his campaign that disavows the recall effort targeting him. Instead, the ad features a Kenosha Unified School District teacher saying Walker did what was right for Wisconsin. The recall is being fueled largely by anger over the law Walker backed that ended collective bargaining rights for most public workers.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Racine, Beloit and Milwaukee top Wisconsin cities in unemployment for October. The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development reports that unemployment rates stayed the same or dropped in 30 of 31 cities with at least 25,000 people. Racine's rate of 11.8 percent was the highest.

TWO RIVERS, Wis. (AP) -- A Manitowoc woman has been charged in connection with a van crash that killed a couple and their adult daughter last month. Becky Holly faces eight felonies, including three charges of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle. Lawrence and Lou Gerroll and their daughter, Joan, were watching a roofing project when authorities say Holly's van left the roadway and struck them.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- A plan approved by the city of Madison will allow the homeless to use a vacant car dealership for daytime shelter. The building will open in mid-December, but Mayor Paul Soglin says it will only be temporary. Utility costs will be paid for by a group that provides emergency services to homeless people in Dane County.
