No identity yet for woman found 3 years ago in Fond Du Lac
FOND DU LAC (AP) -- The Fond Du Lac County sheriff's department has been unsuccessful in identifying a woman whose body was found three years ago.
A group of hunters came across her body in a shallow creek in the Town of Ashford three years ago -- on November 23, 2008.
In addition to a DNA profile, the department reconstructed her hair and face and even the clothes she was wearing the day her body was dumped. They created a Facebook page and her story was even featured on the web site for "America's Most Wanted."
Despite those efforts, investigators are back to square one.
But Lt. Cameron McGee tells WBAY-TV (http://bit.ly/uUMP0e) they plan to actively investigate until the case has a logical conclusion.
