MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The Milwaukee County medical examiner's office confirms that three recent infant deaths in Milwaukee involved co-sleeping.
The office says it has performed autopsies on three infants who died this month in unsafe sleep environments, and found no evidence of trauma.
The office reports that a 2-month-old boy was found dead Wednesday after a night co-sleeping with his mother.
Last Friday, a 7-week-old girl was found dead after sleeping in bed with her mother and her boyfriend.
Another 7-week-old girl was found dead Nov. 9 after co-sleeping with her mother on a mattress. Her cause of death is pending further toxicology testing.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports the three babies were at least the ninth, 10th and 11th Milwaukee infants to die this year in unsafe sleep environments.
