Bernice Stremkowski

Bernice Stremkowski, 87, formerly of Stevens Point, died Wednesday November 23, 2011 at Tanglewood Assisted Living Plover. Bernice was born on July 24, 1924 in Portage County. She was the daughter of the late Zigmund & Clara (Maciejewski) Stremkowski.

One of thirteen children, she went to school at Liberty Corners in Buena Vista. She worked at Community Industries in Stevens Point for many years, until she retired at the age of 62. She was never married, but loved her nieces and nephews. When ever they were over, she would always need a hug and kiss before they would leave.

She enjoyed going out to eat with her dear friend Jeanette Meshak.

She was a member of the St. Peter Rosary Society Rose #50.

Survivors include her brother, Daniel (Sue) Stremkowski of Custer. Sisters, Marie Konkol of Menomonee Falls, Lorraine (LeRoy) Lundgren of Stevens Point, Gloria Kitowski of Plover, and Delores Domask of Greenfield.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Harry, Zigmund Jr., and Edmund. One Sister, Phyllis.

The family would like to thank the staff at Maple Ridge Memory Care of Plover, for all the expert care and love for her. Sarah Janz her nurse she had for many years that took her for all her appointments and surgeries. Suanne Walters her social worker for taking care of all her finances. The funeral director and staff at Pisarski Funeral Home for all their help. Thank you all for the good care; it's greatly appreciated by the family.

Funeral Mass, 10:30am Monday November 28, 2011 at St. Peter Catholic Church. Rev Arul Joseph V. will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation on Monday from 9:00am until time of service in the St. Faustina Room at the church. St. Peter Rosary Society will pray the rosary at 10:00am Monday.

In lieu of flowers memorials in her name will be established at a late date.
