Phyllis (Moore) Snider

Phyllis (Moore) Snider, age 87, formerly from Wisconsin Rapids, was called home to be with the Lord at the North Haven Assisted Living Home on Sunday, November 27, 2011. Phyllis was born in Wyatt, West Virginia, February 23, 1924, to Argyle and Iva (Lane) Moore. Phyllis married Augustine (Gus) Snider on November 4th, 1939 in Winchester, Virginia. Phyllis and her husband lived in the Wyatt, West Virginia area for 12 years than moved to Miami, Arizona for 7 years before buying a farm in Portage County where they farmed for 14 years. The couple moved to Plover after retiring from farming and lived on Weslayan Drive for a number of years. Augustine died September 30, 1985, and she moved to Wisconsin Rapids. Phyllis was a very good cook and loved and enjoyed her many grandchildren and great grandchildren very much.

A funeral service will be held at the Shuda Funeral Home on Thursday, December 1st. at 11:00am, her son, Rev. Richard Snider will officiate. Visitation will be on Thursday morning from 9:00am until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Forest Cemetery next to her husband, Augustine.

Phyllis is survived by her three sons, Rev. Richard (Irene) Snider, Hayward, WI; James Snider, Stevens Point, Wi; and Michael (Mary) Snider, Stratford, WI; 8 grandchildren; Jon Snider, Kelly (Craig) Whitney, Hollie (William) Olsen, Rachel Snider, Lori (Greg) O'Neil, Scott (Jeri) Snider, Brenda (Ricky) Timm and Robert (Ashley) Snider , 14; Great grandchildren, Courtney, Ashley, Austin, Cinnamin, Carisa, Chloe, William, Maddie, Brynn, Tayler, Kaylee, Ayden, Darin & Ryan, five sisters; Mary Lou (Manual) Spagnuolo, Tampa, Florida; Victoria Jenks, Nancy, Kentucky; Rose Jenks, Nutter Fort, West Virginia; Patricia (William) McCauly, Ravenswood, West Virginia; Deborah (James) Goff, Shinnston, West Virginia and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers, James Moore and Joseph Moore.

The family would like to give a tremendous Special Thank You to the caring staff of the North Haven Assisted Living Homes, and the Ministry Home Care Hospice services.
