(CNN)--You could soon see new warning labels on certain birth controls.
Today, the F-D-A is weighing whether women should be warned about the possibility of increased risk of blood clots when taking certain contraceptives.
The focus of today's hearing will be on Bayer's Yasmin.
It comes after a recent study suggested women taking the newer, popular form of birth control had higher rates of blood clots.
The Ortho Evra patch and the NuvaRing vaginal ring were also linked to higher blood clot risks in the same study.
A former F-D-A official has accused Bayer of being aware of these risks... and hiding the evidence.
