ELKHORN, Wis. (AP) -- The Walworth County sheriff's office says the body of a missing 76-year-old man has been recovered from Lake Geneva.
Authorities got a report Wednesday that Richard Coogan had left his home in a Cadillac Seville on his way to the City of Delavan, but never arrived.
Just after noon Thursday, police and sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a vehicle under water. The submerged vehicle was found at the end of a boat launch on the south side of Lake Geneva, about 50 feet offshore.
The sheriff's office says Coogan's body was recovered from the water. He was pronounced dead at short time later.
An autopsy will be performed. The death remains under investigation.
