WAUSAU (WAOW)--Volunteers are busy spending this week wrapping toys and games donated to the Wausau Salvation Army for needy children. The Toys for Tots project and Angel Tree both provide those gifts.
Toys for Tots had more than 60 drop off sites this year. Already, most of those gifts have been picked up and are now at the Salvation Army. The head of this year's toy drive says he estimated between 3600-3700 gifts were donated. That is on par with the 2010 drive. A few locations still have to have their drop off boxes picked up.
The toys will be distributed by the Salvation Army on December 20th.
